    Andres D. Cervantes died Dec. 6, 1998. He was 68. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ester Solis of Corpus Christi; a son, Andres Cervantes Jr. of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Julia Cervantes of Corpus Christi, Connie Cervantes of Austin and Josie Esparza of Chicago; two brothers, Cecilio Cervantes of Corpus Christi and Paulino Cervantes of Lindsey, Calif.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Andrew J. Smith

    JERMYN -- Andrew James "A.J." Smith, a Bryson Elementary School student, died Dec. 5, 1998. He was 10. Survivors include his parents, David and Lori Smith of Jermyn; a brother, Richard Lee Boyer of Jermyn; a sister, Candice Rose Smith of Jermyn; and his grandmothers, Rosa Benavidez of Edroy and Joann Walters of Corpus Christi. Angelina Rovira

    Angelina Rovira, died Dec. 7, 1998. She was 82. Survivors include two daughters, Norma Perez of Corpus Christi and Dolores Perry of Nashua, N.H.; three sons, Richard William Rovira of Nederland, Joseph Rovira and Robert James Rovira, both of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Magdalena Nesmith, Zita Ortiz and Yolanda Jaimes, all of Corpus Christi; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Carlos R. Luna

    SAN ANTONIO -- Carlos R. Luna, a carpenter and Army veteran of World War II, formerly of Alice and Kingsville, died Dec. 6, 1998. He was 76. Survivors include four sisters, Nori French of Round Rock, Alicia Moses of Helotes, Ilia Ramon and Aida Rodriguez, both of Alice; and three brothers, Valeriano Luna of San Antonio, Ramiro Luna of Panama City, Fla., and Roel Luna of Lubbock. Fred Winterroth

    Fred Winterroth died Dec. 7, 1998. He was 75. Survivors include his wife, Aurora; two daughters, Patricia Winterroth and Susan Ramirez, both of Corpus Christi; four sons, Larry Winterroth of Edmond, Jerry, John and Garry Winterroth, all of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Elsa Grissith of Dallas, Mary Ann Maxwell and Esther Riccardi, both of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Bobby Winterroth of Tennessee and Edmond Winterroth of Corpus Christi; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Jesus R. Lucio

    Jesus R. Lucio, a Navy veteran, died Nov. 16, 1998. He was 74. Survivors include six daughters, Leonor, Lucy, Margarita, Yolanda, Patricia and Janie Lucio, all of Corpus Christi; four sons, Valentin Ricardo, Miguel, Ruben and Jesus Lucio Jr., all of Corpus Christi; and 35 grandchildren. Karen G. Moody

    Karen Gay Moody died Dec. 7, 1998. She was 50. Manuel Hernandez

    Manuel Hernandez, an Army veteran, died Dec. 5, 1998. He was 56.     TAFT -- Manuel F. Puentes died Dec. 6, 1998. He was 82. Survivors include four daughters, Ninfa Cruz of Florida, Manuela Puentes of Houston, Jesusa Garcia and Victoria Castillo, both of Taft; two sons, Evaristo Puentes of California and Eulalio Puentes of Florida; three sisters, Eladia Flores, Lupe Acevedo and Margarita Casanova, all of Crosbyton; a brother, Placido Flores of Sinton; 36 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Maria S. Canales

    Maria S. Canales died Dec. 5, 1998. She was 88.     ROBSTOWN -- Rosa M. Tijerina, formerly of Gregory, died Dec. 7, 1998. She was 86. Santiago Vela Jr.

    FALFURRIAS -- Santiago Vela Jr., a mechanic, died Dec. 6, 1998. He was 87. Survivors include his wife, Francisca; five daughters, Eva Hernandez of Falfurrias, Elfida Vasquez and Diana Gutierrez, both of Corpus Christi, Idalia Morin of Houston and Soila Reyes of California; four sons, Cristobal Rodriguez of Houston, Encarnacion Rodriguez of Louisiana, Santiago Vela III of Falfurrias and Godfrey Vela of Spring; a brother, Godfrey Vela of Falfurrias; 38 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Trevis C. Cook

    SALLISAW, Okla. -- Trevis Coy Cook, a Korean War veteran, real estate broker, accountant and a Baptist, died Dec. 5, 1998. He was 64. Survivors include a daughter, Karen King of Corpus Christi; four sisters, Gwenda Cook and Sheila Kumpe, both of Tulsa, Okla., Bernell Edwards of Sallisaw and Daphne Lewis of Kingsburg, Calif.; and a brother, Jerry Cook of Tulsa. Vicente G. Nunez

    SINTON -- Vicente G. Nunez, a retired American Smelting and Refining Co. foreman, formerly of Odem, died Dec. 8, 1998. He was 72. Survivors include his wife, Maria Nunez of Odem; three sons, David Nunez of Houston, Robert and Vicente Nunez Jr., both of Corpus Christi; two daughters, Sylvia Nunez of Odem and Norma Castaneda of Skidmore; a brother, Marcelo Nunez Jr. of Odem; a sister, Delfina Molina of Odem; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
